Washington State
An all-inclusive social and educational organization for the transgender community in Seattle, Washington. We welcome all transgender expressions and identities.
Gender Justice League (GJL) was started in 2012 by a group of long-time trans, queer, and allied activists who were looking to increase the community’s capacity to address cissexism, transphobia, transmisogyny and homo/bi/queer phobias that trans and gender diverse people face. GJL has focused on elevating civil and human rights for trans and gender diverse people through advocacy efforts, creating community, and shared leadership development.
Ingersoll is one of the oldest organizations by and for transgender and gender nonconforming communities in the United States. Officially formed in 1977, Ingersoll Gender Center has been building community, connecting folks to resources and advocating for our communities in the Puget Sound region for over four decades.
Lavender Rights Project elevates the power, autonomy, and leadership of the Black intersex & gender diverse community through intersectional legal and social services. We utilize the law as an organizing principle to affirm our civil rights and self-determination. Our organization disrupts oppressive systems that target Black gender diverse and intersex communities of color and lead to disproportionate levels of poverty, housing disparities, and gender-based violence, especially among Black and Indigenous people.
An AFAB (assigned female at birth) FTM Transgender and Nonbinary peer support, discussion & activity group in Olympia, WA, and the surrounding areas.
For decades, NWGA has been about several things - peer support, regular fun activities, and education. Our education has included public service agencies and many other organizations on trans*, gender fluidity, non-binary identities, and more. Now in the early 2020’s, we are finding a new stride in strengthening our mission - our public education offerings, increased advocacy, and community building. All while maintaining our regular and seasonal fun activities!

We are committed to promoting diversity, acceptance, and understanding among all individuals, and to fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity that recognizes and honors the intersections between LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.
