In the military, I can get kicked out if I find someone to love, but they can find they can cheat on their husbands, and they can cheat on their wives, and they can rent prostitutes in Korea, but none of them get kicked out - only the people who don't fit the mold for somebody else's definition of morality.

I love this - your generation. I love what they're embracing because, to me, it goes back to the old style Native where they saw gender fluidity as a normal/natural thing. And I know that the Blackfeet and a couple of the tribes are - and Grand Ronde is also trying to embrace that - but the generations have been so polluted by white influence over the years, and white prejudices, and attitudes that infiltrated tribes that a lot of the younger tribal members feel as strongly against gender fluidity as many white people do
