The Nasty Habits “are the girls your mother warned you about...and we are definitely not your average girls! We're a Seattle-based band that plays mostly 80s/90s rock, punk, pop and glam dance music that is energetic, edgy, loud and with attitude. We make no excuses for being nasty and we've been incorrigible since our first show in 2004. We play with a shared goal of giving our audiences a power-packed, boisterous, unforgettable bash. "Never let them see you sweat" ... ??? ... NOT!!”

Though The Nasty Habits are based in Seattle, over the past 15+ years, they have put down deep roots in the Olympic Peninsula. They started playing together as a band in Port Angeles, Washington, first at the Esprit Conference and then at local bars around the area. As Ginger and Veronica share, The Nasty Habits have won over the rowdy, mostly straight crowds by playing good music and being their punk, glammy selves on and off stage. As Ginger says, “Music is the Trojan horse … and through that we bring everything else about ourselves.” This authenticity hasn’t gone unnoticed by the young people in the area who “don’t fit the mold” – the goth kids, the queer and trans kids, the crossdressers – and those who just feel like they don’t quite belong.
